About Crab, Wine,
& Beer Days

In January and February, Mendocino Coast Clinics is the place to be for CRAB!

Mendocino Coast Clinics, a one-of-a-kind health center located in Fort Bragg since 1994, is comprised of a group of professionals committed to a common goal ~ to provide access to quality health care services that are otherwise unmet on the North Coast. Their medical staff includes the only Pediatricians, the only Obstetric office, the only Behavioral Health office, the only Dental Clinic treating uninsured children, the only medical outreach to the Coast’s Teen population, the only Medical Clinic offering Suboxone treatment, and free wellness and nutrition classes. By accepting private insurance, Medicare, Medi-Cal, and offering sliding scale options, no one is turned away.

So what does all this have to do with Crab you ask?

Well, it seems Mendocino Coast Clinics’ has learned how to turn crab into dollars! MCC’s annual two-day fundraiser, Crab, Wine & Beer Days, is the signature weekend destination of Visit Mendocino County’s 10 day Feast Mendocino Crab Festival.

Join us on Friday night, January 31, for our family style Cioppino dinner, prepared by an all-volunteer kitchen crew and served by MCC staff.  The following afternoon, Saturday, February 1, the Big White Tent houses the ever-popular Crab Cake Cook-Off & Wine Tasting Competition. Mendocino county chefs craft thousands of crab cakes to sample with wine from America’s greenest wine region! Taste Made in Mendocino microbrews, fine foods, desserts & coffee from throughout the county.

About Mendocino Coast Clinics

Mendocino Coast Clinics is a non-profit, community-based health center. With historical roots as a free clinic, we are a true example of a grassroots organization, governed by a patient-driven board of directors for 25 years. We became an independent non-profit health center in 1994 and since then, we’ve grown from 7 employees to 115, making us one of the largest employers in Fort Bragg.

Mendocino Coast Clinics has been accredited as a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) since 2015, which means we use a team-based approach that puts you, the patient, at the center of the team. PCMHs build strong relationships between patients and their clinical care teams and typically demonstrate better quality, patient experience, and staff satisfaction as compared to non-PCMHS–all while reducing health care costs.
