Mendocino Coast Clinics, a one-of-a-kind health center located in Fort Bragg, founded in 1994. We are comprised of a group medical professionals committed to a common goal ~ to provide access to quality health care services that are otherwise unmet on the North Coast, regardless of the ability to pay. The medical staff includes the only Pediatricians, the only Obstetric office, the only Behavioral Health office, the only Dental Clinic treating uninsured children, the only medical outreach to the Coast’s Teen population & LGBTQ youths, the only Medical Clinic offering Suboxone treatment, free wellness & nutrition classes & the only Street Medicine outreach program. By accepting private insurance, Medicare, Medi-Cal & offering sliding scale options, no one is turned away.
So what does all this have to do with Crab you ask?
Well, it seems Mendocino Coast Clinics learned how to turn crab into dollars for community health care! For more than 20 years, MCC’s annual fundraiser, Crab & Wine Days, draws folks from across the nation and throughout California to indulge in local Dungeness Crab & Mendocino County Wines.
During the early days of COVID-19 MCC set up a drive-thru testing/vaccination site on campus. Through pop-up Clinics at area workplaces, farmer’s markets, grocery stores, schools and churches, MCC leads the way in vaccinations, testing and education in our service area. We take seriously the responsibility of caring for our community and ensuring access to this care. Please consider a donation to this vital mission.
Mendocino Coast Clinics
Mendocino Coast Clinics is a non-profit, community-based health center. With historical roots as a free clinic, we are a true example of a grassroots organization, governed by a patient-driven board of directors for 25 years. We became an independent non-profit health center in 1994 and since then, we’ve grown from 7 employees to 115, making us one of the largest employers in Fort Bragg.
Mendocino Coast Clinics has been accredited as a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) since 2015, which means we use a team-based approach that puts you, the patient, at the center of the team. PCMHs build strong relationships between patients and their clinical care teams and typically demonstrate better quality, patient experience, and staff satisfaction as compared to non-PCMHS–all while reducing health care costs.
